Janet Mason was recently appointed Assistant Deputy Minister, Planning and Research in the Cabinet Office. Prior to this appointment, she has held positions of Assistant Deputy Minister of the Post Secondary Education Division in the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities, and Assistant Deputy Minister, Policy Division, Ministry of Municipal Affairs.

Ms. Mason joined the Ontario public service in 1981. Before joining the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing in 1992, Janet was Director of Policy for the Ministry of Skills Development.

Ms. Mason was appointed to the Board of Directors of the Ontario Innovation Trust in July 2005.
